Privacy Policy
Last updated July 12, 2026. This page is maintained by Insulation Finders to explain how we handle information homeowners and contractors submit through the site.
What we collect
When you request a quote or contact us we collect the details you enter into our forms or provide on a call, which typically include your name, phone number, email address, project address or ZIP code, property type, project scope, and timeline. We also collect basic technical information such as IP address, device and browser type, referring page, and interactions with the site through cookies and analytics tools.
How homeowner information is shared with contractor partners
Insulation Finders is a referral service. We are not an insulation contractor and we do not install insulation. When you submit a quote request:
- Your submission is routed to no more than two local insulation contractor partners serving your city, ZIP cluster, or service territory. The cap of two is intentional: enough to give you competitive quotes side by side, few enough to avoid a spam-call stampede.
- Each matched partner receives the project details you submitted — name, phone, email, project address or ZIP, project scope, property type, and timeline — so they can contact you about your project by phone, text, or email.
- We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your submission as a general marketing list, resell it to lead aggregators, or send it to multiple competing companies bidding for your job.
- Once a contractor partner receives your information, they are an independent business and become a separate data controller of the details you provided. Their own privacy practices apply to how they store and use your information after the referral.
By submitting a form or calling a tracked number on the site, you consent to this referral and to being contacted by the matched contractor partners (up to two) and by Insulation Finders about your request.
Call tracking and communications
Phone numbers displayed on local pages may be tracked numbers that forward to the assigned partner. Calls may be recorded or logged for quality, routing, and fraud-prevention purposes. Text messages and emails sent through our forms may be logged so we can confirm delivery and follow up if a referral is not received.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and analytics tools to understand how the site is used, to measure marketing campaigns, and to prevent abuse of our forms. These tools may set first- or third-party cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect site functionality.
How long we keep your information
We retain quote submissions and call records for as long as reasonably needed to complete the referral, respond to follow-up questions, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with our legal and record-keeping obligations. When information is no longer needed for those purposes we delete it or anonymize it on a routine schedule.
Opt out, access, and deletion requests
You control how your information is used after you submit it. You can:
- Stop contact from a matched contractor. Reply STOP to any text message, ask on a phone call, or reply to an email from the contractor asking them not to contact you again. Do this with each matched partner if you were referred to two. If a partner does not honor an opt-out request, email us at hello@insulationfinders.com and we will follow up with the partner and, if needed, remove them from the program.
- Stop contact from Insulation Finders. Email hello@insulationfinders.com with the subject "Opt out" and the phone number and email address you used. We will stop contacting you and flag your record so it is not re-used for future outreach.
- Ask what we have on file. Email hello@insulationfinders.com with the subject "Data access request" from the email address associated with your submission. We will respond within 30 days.
- Ask us to delete your information. Email hello@insulationfinders.com with the subject "Delete my information" from the email address associated with your submission, or use our contact form. We will delete or anonymize your record in our systems within 30 days, except where we are required to keep limited information for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention reasons.
Because contractor partners are independent businesses, a deletion request to Insulation Finders does not automatically delete your information from a partner's own systems. To request deletion by a matched partner, contact that partner directly; if you need help identifying which partner(s) received your submission, email us and we will connect you.
Contractor applicants
Information submitted through the contractor application form is stored privately for internal review. It is not published as a public partner listing, and a public listing only appears after review and an explicit agreement with the applicant.
